Murat Kahya is a visual artist who creates multi-dimensional installations by blending photography, video,
sound, and found objects. Born in 1989 in Ankara, Kahya began his artistic journey with photography and
later expanded his practice into sensory space installations. His works, shaped by his passion for exploring
the connections between nature, water, and humans, deeply examine our relationship with the environment.
Kahya’s works are built on challenging the boundaries of the medium by surpassing the two-dimensional
nature of photography. With each new project, he transforms his works into an unknown journey, driven by
the desire to explore uncharted territories. In this context, he offers the audience a unique and subjective
experience every time. By transforming the components of nature with video, sound, and objects, Kahya
bridges the past, present, and future, and values sharing his story interactively with the audience. The artist
has exhibited in prestigious platforms such as Mamut and Base Istanbul, and Zilberman Gallery, and recently
held his first solo exhibition at Bilsart Istanbul. While continuing to explore the sensory and spatial potential
of art in his studio in Istanbul, he remains dedicated to producing works that focus on experiencing nature
and understanding its impact on humans, encouraging viewers to establish a deeper connection with their
environment.
