His 2002 photographic work “Football is Life” even refers to Durer’s “Adam and Eve”, yet the woman offers a football instead of an apple. Currently in Turkey, football and the male domination in sport industry is surreptitiously linked to politics, illegal business and chauvinistic manifestations. Here again he audaciously selects a Christian iconography which may be very subversive for the gaze of the public even if it may irritate its convictions.
